The standards behind The Game, including accuracy, sourcing, corrections, rights, and the separation between editorial judgment and public voting.

Purpose and Independence
The Game is the editorial section of World Football Award, an independent football media and recognition platform. Coverage is produced without endorsement from any governing body, confederation, federation, competition organizer, league, club, player, or other third-party rights holder. Editorial coverage does not imply official status or affiliation.
Accuracy and Sources
We aim to verify names, dates, records, quotations, and historical claims using reliable primary or authoritative sources whenever available. Articles identify material sources in a reading list. Historical records may differ based on competition definitions or archival methods; meaningful uncertainty is stated rather than hidden.
Original Work and Rights
Articles are original WFA editorial work. We do not reproduce protected articles, broadcasts, photographs, crests, competition logos, or trophy imagery without permission or a valid license. Names of people, clubs, places, and historical events may be used for factual reporting and commentary. Third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners.
Player and Public-Figure Coverage
Profiles address public careers, documented performance, and cultural influence. Coverage does not imply personal endorsement. We distinguish verifiable facts from analysis and avoid presenting private information that is not relevant to the public record.
Awards and Editorial Separation
Editorial coverage does not place a person or team on a shortlist and does not count as a vote. AI-assisted evidence review, human shortlist decisions, public voting, and result verification follow the published World Football Award methodology. Commercial relationships, if any, do not determine editorial conclusions or award results.
